The Montreal Metro System: Your New Best Friend
Even if you are "directionally challenged", the Montreal metro is made for those who even have trouble telling left from right. It's an extremely cheap and efficient way to travel all around the city. Visit the STM website for any additional information you might need.
Going a Shorter Distance? Take the Bus!
Depending on where you're headed, the Metro isn't always the most effective route to travel. Montreal also offers extensive bus routes. The STM website has all of the relevant information you will need, and I also found this Wikipedia page a very helpful breakdown!
Cash to Spare? Hop in a Cab!
Why go sky diving when you can take a short ride in a Montreal cab and get the same rush of adrenaline? The driving in Montreal is unruly to begin with, and the cab drivers are on an entire different level. It's sure to be an experience you won't forget, and surprisingly, almost all come out alive. Although it may be slightly more dangerous and expensive, cabs offer the comfort and privacy you may not find on the crowded bus or metro. Both Diamond and Atlas are reliable company's, and will come quickly if you call in advance. There are several cab stands located around the city, and you'll always find piles of them waiting outside of Montreal hotels. BON VOYAGE!
